About Channeling

Channeling is a sacred, prayerful process for allowing Divine Energy of some form to move through you. There are many forms of channeling. A channeled message is a message which is given by a Being of Light, such as an Angel or Ascended Master (ie., Saint), which is spoken or written through the vessel of a human being (known as the "channel"). In a channeling session, the channel invites the Light Being to enter his or her physical body as a way of delivering a message. Some channels remain conscious during a channeled session; this is known as conscious channeling. Some lose consciousness; this is known as trance channeling. For some channels, the Light Beings physically conduct the channeling session; that is, the channel, whether conscious or not, is not choosing the words but is simply allowing them to be spoken through him or her. In my case, channeling is a translation process, in which the Light Beings fill my head and heart with thoughts and emotions, and it is my job to translate those perceptions into words to share with others. Whatever the format for channeling, the words are secondary to the energies which are transmitted. These transmissions occur both during the actual channeling and during the receiving of the message by those who hear or read the words. 

My practice of channeling began some time during my early teens, before I knew what channeling was-- it just seemed like a good way of dealing with some of life's dilemmas. During those stormy years when tempers flared and egos were frail, I remember turning to a foundational belief of my upbringing-- that the Holy Spirit was within me. When I did not know how to respond to others' negativity, I would sometimes take a deep breath, focus inwardly, and think, "Holy Spirit, I don't know what to say. Would you speak for me?" The results were never short of amazing! After I would speak, there would be a change in the demeanor of the person I'd been speaking with. Arguments were prevented; tempers were soothed; a shift for the better always occurred. The thing that always struck me as odd was that afterward, I could never remember what I'd said! I didn't realize it at the time, but that is a common characteristic of channeling-- because another energy is speaking through the channel, the channel's thoughts are not his or her own. Additionally, the channeled words are usually conveying ideas and energies which are beyond the channels own current level of perception of the given situation. Those two aspects combined with the channel's own energy being in an elevated, more "spacey" state during the process, often result in the channel having a poor memory of what was said during the transmission. This was certainly the case for me as a teenage channel. 

As an adult, I trained professionally in channeling with Linda Dillon of the Council of Love (www.counciloflove.com), which is a group of physical and non-physical Lightworkers who join together to increase the energies of Love operating throughout the planet Earth. I am proud to say that I am a channel for the Council of Love. Today, I record my channeled messages so as not to forget a word.  The workshop entitled "Blessings of the Archangels" is the result of extensive channeling work, in which I channeled blessings from many archangels. These blessings are shared during the workshop, and participants then align with Archangels to radiate these blessings to the world.

Another form of channeling is energy healing, in which the healer channels Divine Energies of healing, wholeness, and Love to the recipient. During this form of healing work the channel may or may not be energetically merged with a Being or Beings of Light. When I paint, I channel sacred energies as well as Light Beings who collaborate with me in the creation of the artwork. The results are pieces which suprrise me in thier appearance and which radiate beautiful energies of Divine Wellness and Love.
